Wokingham Mental Health LibraryStation House has a library of some two hundred and fifty books, audio tapes and video tapes and leaflets on all matters relating to mental health - including up to date welfare benefits leaflets. A volunteer is the librarian. Any drop-in user or guest may use the library and computer free of charge.

The library is stocked with basic texts on depression, schizophrenia, manic depression, anxiety, obsessional disorders, phobias and all other common mental disorders. It also has books on subjects tangential to mental health - such as divorce, dementia, cancer, diabetes and asthma.

The Library also stocks a number of personal accounts of mental health problems - expressed both in prose and in poetry. Video and audio tapes - including relaxation exercises - are also stocked. The library's piece de resistance is a computer with Internet access, printer and scanner. You may use the computer among other things to write and print letters, browse the internet for information and send e-mails. Library use is free - borrowing periods being for three weeks - which is renewable, if required.
